My Y700 Journey
A few years back, I used the OG Y700 as my primary tablet. Last year, I tried its successor, then got the 2025 Y700 (Gen 3), my main tablet for 10 months. I took it to India and China. Now, I’ve been using the Y700 Gen 4 with Snapdragon 8 Elite for a week, and I’m blown away. I’m Ash from C4 Ret. Let’s dive in.
Lenovo Hears Fans
Lenovo listened to users this time. I criticized the missing micro SD slot and useless 2 MP macro camera in the 2025 model. Now, the micro SD is back, and they’ve made smart upgrades.
Design and Build
The Y700 is lighter, under 7 mm thick, with a unibody metal back and curved edges. It’s super comfortable. The display sits flush with the frame, though Type-C ports are off-center.
Micro SD Note
I heard the micro SD might be slow. I’m testing it with a high-speed card soon and will update .
Ports and Connectivity
It has dual USB ports (2.0 bottom, 3.2 side), both supporting 68W charging. You can charge and use SSDs or earphones simultaneously. The side port supports video out with display mirroring or desktop extension.
Software Smarts
ZUX on Android 15 is snappy. It offers split-screen options, game display choices, FPS meter, and bypass charging. Expect at least two Android updates, based on the 2023 model’s upgrade to Android 15.
Upgraded Display
The 3K IPS LCD panel has a 400+ PPI density for sharper visuals, with 165 Hz refresh, HDR10 Plus, and Dolby Vision. Brightness peaks at 900 nits.
Better Audio
Speakers are hard to cover and louder than the 2025 model, which was already great. You’ll notice the difference in waveforms.
Battery Upgrade
The 7600 mAh battery lasts about 20% longer than the last model. A 68W charger gives 30% in 10 minutes, full charge in 53.
Top Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Elite, LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage shine. It loses only 13% performance under stress, outperforming the ROG Phone 9 Pro and OnePlus Pad 3, staying cool at 40°C.
Gaming Gear

The G9 controller makes the Y700 a handheld gaming beast under 700 g.

Price and Verdict
The Y700 Gen 4 starts at 3299 RMB, up 6% from last year’s 3099 RMB. It’s perfect for reading, videos, or gaming. I hope the Global Legion Tab Gen 4 launches soon. What do you think? Comment below. Thanks .
